Hello! Thanks for visiting my teacher page. Isn't Petersburg Primary a great school? I feel so lucky to be here. I taught at Heath Springs Elementary in Lancaster County for 4.5 years but before that... I was here! I worked with Kindergarten and did my student teaching here.  I am looking forward to teaching your child this year. We're going to take what we learned from the 22-23 year and set our binoculars on having an absolutely amazing 23-24 year! 

So, where was I before even all of that? Well, long story short, before making this mid-life career shift into the classroom, I was a recruiter for Coker College (now University) and helped adults transition into (or back into) the higher education classroom to earn their degrees. That was a very rewarding experience but something kept nagging at me. 

You see, straight out of high school (way back in 1984 ~ Go Chapman Panthers!) I studied psychology and graduated with a degree from USC, Upstate. But here's the thing, in looking through a box of old stuff my mother kept I discovered a form where I had originally declared my major as Elementary Education! For whatever reason I switched to psychology. Well, many years later and with a whole lot of life lived in between, I have come full circle and realized my dream of teaching little ones.  While at Coker, I took the school up on its benefit of free tuition for full-time employees and earned my teaching license. Yep, I did that. And am so excited for the opportunities to teach, learn and grow with every little that crosses my path. 

As we get to know each other, you will most likely learn that I have a beautiful, loving family (I'm a Mimi of 4 scrumptious grands), that I love music, have owned a restaurant called The Dizzy Lizard, love camping and traveling, and love reading and playing games. Oh, I could just go on and on about this good life I have been given but now tell me a little bit about yourself...
