Welcome
Hello! My name is Bessie Wallace. I am a first year teacher and I am excited to be teaching second grade at Petersburg Primary School! My journey to become a teacher started in 2017, when I became a substitute teacher, and found a love for the classroom. I have worked in the cafeteria, then as a teacher assistant in the Preschool Developmentally Delayed class for a year, then went into Kindergarten as a teacher assistant for 2 years. I recently graduated with my Bachelor's of Science in Early Childhood Education from Grand Canyon University (class of 2024). I am committed to helping shape the young minds that enter my classroom. I believe that every child deserves to be loved, cared for, and have fun while getting their education!
I am a mother of two daughters whom I share with my husband, Danny. We also have three "fur babies". I was born in North Carolina, and moved to South Carolina in 1998. I attended Jefferson Elementary and graduated from Central High School in 2007. In my spare time, I love spending time with my family, thrifting, traveling, trying new things, and having fun!
