Title I

Title I is an assistance program for schools from the federal government based on our directly certified students (students approved as eligible for free meals who are not subject to verification). The goal of Title I is to provide a quality education for every child.

The federal government provides funding to states each year for Title I. In order to receive the funding, the schools must develop a plan that describes how the money will be used to improve and/or continue to provide a quality education for every child.

Title I programs generally offer:

*small group instruction opportunities

*additional teachers and assistants

*additional training for school staff

*extra time for instruction

*a variety of teaching methods and materials
