Welcome to 2024-2025 School Year!

My name is Candida Price. It is my tenth year teaching at Petersburg Primary School.  I previously taught first and second grade. This year I will be fulfilling a new role as Reading Interventionist.   I earned my BS in Early Childhood and Elementary Education from Coker University in 2014. I earned my Master of Education in Literacy  Studies degree at Coker University in 2017. I am dedicated to making this school year terrific and productive for every one of my students. 

I was born and raised in Chesterfield County, South Carolina. I am married and have two children, a son and a daughter whom I love dearly.  I have a beloved pet named Kingston. I attended the Pageland area schools and I wanted to give back to my community by teaching in the area that I am connected too. I am dedicated to teaching and encouraging my students to do their best. I  believe in supporting  my students in the school and the community. It is my goal to reach every student where they are. I look forward to building relationships inside and outside the classroom. I am a firm believer that it takes a village to educate a child. This year we are building an educational village to nurture the youngest to the oldest student at Petersburg Primary School.

I am looking forward to making this year extraordinary. I look forward to our students growing and glowing reaching their academic goals.
