Mrs. Smith
Welcome to 2nd Grade!
My name is Jennifer Smith. This is my first year at Petersburg Primary, but it is my 31st year of teaching. I taught 2nd and 3rd grade in NC for 30 years. I graduated from UNC Charlotte with a Bachelor's of Arts Degree in Human Development and Learning. I am certified to teach K-6 in NC and SC.
I grew up just a few miles from Petersburg Primary in the Wolf Pond community which straddles the NC/SC state line. My husband and I built a home for our children on the same land that my grandparents, and parents owned. We have 2 grown children, and 1 unruly dog. Our children live in Raleigh, and Monroe, but the dog insists on living with us. My husband and I enjoy bike-riding, and I enjoy crafting, and traveling.
I am excited about teaching in a community that is so close to where I have lived for so long. I look forward to getting to know the community of Pageland, and the students at Petersburg Primary.
